Useless objects
Giulio Iacchetti - creator of the “Mandarina” ergonomic pen – has experimented with wooden knives for the Italian company Coltelleria Berti and presented them at the most recent edition of the Furniture Show in Milan.
He had spent a month hand carving 22 knives, each made from a different type of wood with a unique aroma and soul.
A traditional tool like the wooden knife has been redesigned to the point where it is becomes removed from its original use.
Design brings “useless objects” into our kitchen drawers and leaves it up to us to find a use for them based on their new shape.
Our daily routine has just taken on a new dimension.
