Trend Blogging: looking for global fashion
Some time ago, I pointed out The Sartorialist, a blog by Scott Schuman.
Today, while wandering on the web, I saw some very unusual outfits that seem to have been captured on the streets of an amazing global village.
In Helsinki, people are wearing a colourful shabby chic look with Nordic details. Apart from the blue wool pom-poms, I would wear something like this!
This more refined look was seen in San Francisco.
She appears to be a stunt double for Anna Karenina. Peach satin, puff sleeves and a cameo at the neck complete this 19th-century look. Too bad about that fur hat, which would be more appropriate for the cold weather on the steppe rather than the beaches of California.
And what about these four girls in Technicolor outfits and geisha make-up? Flashback to the Nineties? In Berlin, this trend is very cool.
It’s a bit too bright for people, who like me, don’t want to stand out.
If you have some free time, here are a few blogs where you can continue your search for worldwide street styles: Paris, Seattle, Tokyo, New York, London.
And if you want to share your own style with other “fashionists”, here are some photo-sharing web sites: Share Your Look and Street Memo.
