Summer books: recommended readings

After my return from Formentera, I’m already ready to take off on another trip. While I’m waiting, I think I’ll have to equip myself with a suitcase full of books for my weekends in Bologna at the pool or in Porretta with my parents.
First, I have to detox from traffic! So, I’m going to read Traffic to learn about avoiding traffic jams, finding the shortest routes, deciphering signal errors and understanding sociological behavior.
This way my life won’t be so frantic. I wonder why no one has ever written a book like this before!

For melancholy days, I think that Sundays at Tiffany’s will be perfect!
James Patterson’s novel is supposed to be a very gripping romance, where you get completely enmeshed in the characters’ love lives!

The Last Oracle: a Novel (Sigma Force) by James Rollins could be a great source of suspense as a mystery gets solved in between Russian ruins and ancient Greek temples.

When I’m really blue, I could plunge into Maarten Troost’s Lost on Planet China. It’s a humorous journey into the heart of mystic Asian society while trying to survive with through “essential Chineseness”.

Or maybe I’ll just go for the laughs - and perhaps some advice - with the Glamorous (Double) Life of Isabel Bookbinder by Holly McQueen.
Perhaps changing my look or finding new friends will bring more novelty into my life!
Then again, perhaps not, it’s already hard enough coping with one life!
