Domestic animals: Organic Design
I’ve already told you about how I love to surround myself with designer objects, even in my daily life.
Whenever I can, I buy something on-line.
I’m fascinated by ideas that don’t come from some far off empyreal.
Such as when nature inspires arts, known as Organic Design.
In 1940, Eames and Eero Saarinen won the Museum of Modern Art Organic Furniture Competition for bringing Organic Design into the 21st century and our homes.
Elephants, roses, bats, alligators, cobras, birds and butterflies become part of the most ordinary pieces of furniture.
The duck also inspires design and not just for Mandarina
