Narita Airport

L’aeroporto di Narita I often go to Tokyo for work and I usually land at Narita Airport (Shin Tokyo Kokusai Kuko), the largest airport in the “Land of the Rising Sun” and probably the one with the highest number of passengers and greatest movement of goods.

I must say that it’s not the most comfortable airport to land at. Narita is more than 60 km from downtown Tokyo and it’s best to have an expert driver pick you up or take public transportation, which is always on schedule.


Narita - vetrataThe first time I was there I rented a car, but due to left-hand driving and very low speed limits (40 km/h inside cities, 80 km/h on the highways) I arrived to my meeting very late and so nervous!

The Dalai Lama says “Simplicity will be the key for modern life happiness”: faithful to this, I always look for some simple and useful objects at the duty free shop. Honestly, I’m not sure if they are always useful, but the friends I gift them to still get fun from them. Some of my colleagues have confessed that, many months after getting them, they haven’t understood how to use them yet…
