Molting season for mandarinaduck.com
At Mandarina, there’s been a lot of fervent web activity lately! Everyone’s talking about websites, e-commerce, html codes, flash technology and databases! After our American landing, our new corporate website is being launched this Friday.
How many of you remember the first Mandarina website? It was so conceptual, meaningful and content-rich that our products were submersed. So, two years ago, we felt that our website should put greater emphasis on our products and our window on the world became a virtual showcase, a sort of electronic catalogue.
However, that’s not enough anymore. It’s essential that mandarinaduck.com has a well-defined, strong personality.
Firstly, thanks to flash technology, the site is more dynamic. Secondly, we wanted to stimulate emotional reactions. So we used intense colors and included the same evocative images we use in our advertising campaigns.
On our site, you’ll find contact information and images for all our stores worldwide, our corporate history and anecdotes on Mandarina products that have become cult objects. Obviously, our products are still the focal point of our website. They are now presented in two sections - Handbags and Travel - and by product line. A detailed description is given for each line along with other important information. It’s more than just a catalogue. It’s an e-guide to help you find the perfect bag.
Here’s a preview! What do you think?

I LOVE your site and agree that it’s now easier to see your wonderful products. You have obviously taken great care in designing the flash elements that are fun, but not overwhealming.
One thing missing from the site is either an email address or form for visitors to contact Mandarina Duck via email (we’re not all fortunate to live in Europe). The logical place is in “Customer Service” but I didn’t see anything there.
Keep up the good work!
