Festival: an invasion of our cities
If you’re in Milan until 16 November, you could catch sight of cascading, enchanted princesses in the window of the Coin department store. Don’t be alarmed. It’s all part of the (con)Temporary Art show taking place in Milan’s Tortona district. This unique event is a contemporary art festival being hosted in coffee shops, bars, stores and hotels.
Bonbons, sinuous shapes and a romantic atmosphere are the theme of “100% Pure Love”, the exhibition in the new Nhow Art Design Hotel, the first ever museum-hotel in Italy.
Continuing on love, I’ve discovered that Venice is not just for people in love. Until 23 November, the Biennale of Architecture will host Single Town, an installation by Droog and Kesselskramer, offering tips on how to lead a single life.
A self-heating jacket as a remedy to loneliness, a single bed that becomes a double when necessary, an anti-mess closet that can be raised to the ceiling when it’s too full. Well, if it’s true that by 2026, one third of the global population will be single, it’s a good idea to start getting ready!
A trip to Rome is always very interesting, especially if you go before the end of December. Along with the many historical sites of the Italian capital, envied worldwide, there’s the “Roma Europa Festival“, a great opportunity to encounter new forms of art and language, from experimental theatre to sound crossovers of the digital era.
Do you love video art, electronic music, creative writing and advertising? If you’re not up for the trip to Rome, you could try out your creativity in the comfort of your home by taking part in the of Romaeuropa Webfactory contests.
If I can get past my usually laziness, maybe I’ll participate too…
All I would need to do is write 100 words.
