Eco Design
Transforming. Recycling Sustainable future.
These are the key words of Eco Design.
A new trend with roots in the past. From time immemorial, people have tried to use and reuse what they had. The Industrial Revolution and consumerism have eliminated this way of life, which is now, however, being brought back to bring us closer to nature.
Elegant chandeliers made out of old banana crates and drift glass collected on beaches. Folding walls made out of rice paper to redesign living spaces.
Office furniture and doghouses made out of recycled paper are easy to replace thanks to their low environmental impact.
The Hotel Básico in Mexico is an excellent example of recycled architecture. The rooftop cabanas are made from old truck fronts and the rooftop swimming pools from old water tanks.
The next time I redesign my home, I’ll leave room for some of these types of objects.
Perhaps I’ll even assemble something similar with my own hands.
