Mini Bags at the starting line

March 27th, 2008 - posted by Ducky

After hearing a lot of talk about the Mini and Finduck project, the results are now entering the market.

This spring, the Mini style is on the move again with the Mini Bags line, after debuting in tandem at the Rome Film Festival and the Pitti Uomo show in Florence in October 2007.

First to come out will be the colorful small tote (part of the Car Profile line) and the Mini Lounge. Then in April, the Luggage range will exit with two unisex lines, Go Fast! and Check Out, inspired by the Mini’s glam profile.

Murano, blown bags

February 21st, 2008 - posted by Mrs Valeria

murano_red_bagIf I were to say “Murano“, what would you think of?
You’d probably think of either the island that is world famous for glass blowing or the city of Venice.
It was Mardi Gras a while ago and, as usual, Carnival events in the lagoon were quite distinctive. This year, the theme was Sensation.

At Mandarina Duck, Murano recalls our Fall-Winter 2001 bag collection created by Marcel Wanders.

October 17th, 2007 - posted by Ducky

Yesterday while I was rummaging around into my cupboard, I found an old Mandarina Duck knapsack (when I first came to work here, I discovered that the line was called Utility!).

It brought back many memories. Do you have any?

It all began when I was reading The Feng Shui Art of Space Clearing and realized that I was late with mine!

September 13th, 2007 - posted by Ducky

Andrea told you what happens in a fashion show backstage, today we’ll show you the video.

This has been a very important happening in Mandarina: it was the first time we created a fashion show to present the new collection to our colleagues. It was nice to see our bags alive on the catwalk, moreover we were looking at the spring/summer 2008 collection!

I’ve already chosen my next bag… and you?

What bag will you use next fall?

August 24th, 2007 - posted by Roberto Mineo

Is everybody back from vacations? I haven’t managed to empty my bag yet and I’m ready to leave for a business trip.

In these days we are working on the Spring/Summer Collection 09, but I’ll give you some advance news for next fall.

The woman we thought of with the Autumn/Winter Collection 07/08 is cosmopolitan and sophisticated. Elegant and charming in her urban, everyday life and informal. A woman in search of new details and unpublished functionalities.

Double Leather - Mandarina DuckOur colors? Black, fire, earth, forest green, snow and silver.

Techno-natural hybridations for the new Mix line: natural materials, leather and cotton work with high-tech materials like resins and nylon.

Travel, flight. We wanted to create a line based on a new concept that would be different from all the others.

Something inspired by our experiences, our marketing research and cars. A world that is in constant motion must be well-organized in order to function. Inside and out. When we travel, we bring the colors of home with us inside our trolleys. Cool, soft and informal images.
