Ducky
My real name is Rossana and I was born on the 14th of July 1983, which was an important historic date and not only for my family! So, I’ve probably inherited some revolutionary spirit.

I’m originally from Porretta Terme, near Bologna, a place I still love even though I’ve always longed for broader horizons. I went to college in Florence, where I did a degree in Multimedia Language Communication and later moved to Bologna, where my Mandarina Duck adventure began.

I’m curious, reflective and sense-oriented. Smell and touch are my primary filters for analyzing everything around me. When choosing a dress or a bag, I love touching them first. Smells and perfumes are the vessels of my memories.

Music and all its genres are my true passion. I’ve been playing piano for 10 years and I can’t imagine my life without musical notes.

My life is about vibrations. I love writing and reading poetry. My favorite author is Pablo Neruda and “Who Dies” reflects my personal beliefs.

He who does not travel,
who does not read,
who does not listen to music,
who does not find grace in himself, dies slowly.
[…]
Let’s try and avoid death in small doses,
always reminding oneself that being alive requires an effort by far
greater than the simple fact of breathing.
Only a burning patience will lead to the attainment of a splendid happiness.

It’s been a long time since I last wrote a few lines about myself. Given my age, I hadn’t thought about doing that again but here we are. I’ve been working for Mandarina Duck since November 1983 and this is my history within the company, in brief.
I started out as an assistant to both the Marketing Director and the Sales Director (I had two bosses!). Now, after more than 20 years of “hard” work, I’m an assistant to the President and General Management. During last 4 years, I’ve also been in charge of General Services, together with three other people.

I’m determined, curious, well-organized, open-minded and relationship-oriented and, most importantly, I really love my job.

I’m very fond of traveling and I have a great passion for Greece and its islands.

I love nature and everything made in a natural way: traditional recipes, the sea, good food and, of course, the good life!

Massimo Venturini
“Vision without action is a dream. Action without vision is a nightmare”
This is the saying that best represents me.

My name is Massimo Venturini and I’m the Production Manager of Mandarina Duck. I travel a lot for my job, so airports don’t hold any secrets for me. I’m open-minded and calm by nature. I don’t like negotiations. Clarity is my style, even if sometimes I’m the first one to mess things up.

People say that I’m a dynamo in human form! When I’m at home, I like gardening and playing basketball. Another big passion of mine is technology and I can’t resist the latest models of computers or digital cameras.

I was born in Modena on September 1st, 1967.
My school years were marked by my artistic, design and photography studies.
After having worked for several years in advertising agencies in my home town, I joined Mandarina Duck in 1992.
In 1997, I married Barbara and a few months later our wonderful sons, Tommaso and Riccardo, were born!
I now run the design department of Mandarina Duck with determination and enthusiasm.

I love listening to music and going to the cinema and, once a week, I rearrange all my furniture to create new living environments.
My creative streak is probably to blame for this!

I was born in Florence in 1973 and moved to Bologna in 2001, where I now work as a Visual Merchandiser for Mandarina Duck. I alternate my office work with short and long business trips across Europe and, occasionally, around the world.
I have a few great passions, music being the first. I studied the cello and the guitar and I now sing jazz and blues in a polyphonic quintet. I also have fun as a dj.
To keep in shape, I play volleyball, go rollerblading (avoiding traffic) and sometimes workout at the gym.
I adore the seaside in summer and winter, the design work of Richard Neutra, Mies Van der Rohe and Gio Ponti, concerts and exhibitions, Brazil and Iceland, Björk and Kate Bush.
My friends (who are the centre of my life and for whom I adore cooking) ask me how I can reconcile all my passions with my job. I ask myself that too sometimes. But the answer is quite simple. I do what I like, I do it with all my heart (and some of my head) and I don’t ask too much of my body. Et voilà!
